The Mediterrania restaurant has been a friendly neighborhood place to eat since 1986. For over 20 years the restaurant has attracted people with a combination of great Greek and Italian cuisine and an old-world atmosphere, appreciated by people of all ages. It features a cozy and comfortable dining room, a banquet room, where many different events can be hosted, and a nice private outside patio.
But the real pleasure comes from knowing the people who work at the restaurant and make it such a friendly, charming place. The restaurant owner Nick Dimitrakopoulos knows almost everyone of his guests by name and often comes down the dining room to greet them in person.
Nick was born in Kalamata, Greece and raised in Athens. While living in Greece, he developed an appreciation for fine Mediterranean cuisine. He graduated from the Hotel and Restaurant Academy in Athens and successfully ran several businesses - including a pastry shop and a restaurant. His training and experience landed him a next job in his career - General Manager on a cruise lines.

In 1976 Nick came to Jacksonville, Florida to work in two major hotels as Food and Beverage Manager. During his career he opened and managed several local chain restaurants and even started his own venture. In 1994 Nick joined Jimmy Mitsios and the Mediterrania crew as manager and working partner. After learning the business from Jimmy, Nick became sole owner of the restaurant in 1999. He and his crew will turn you dining experience into a real delight and make you want to come back again and again.
Mediterrania restaurant is famous for its fresh seafood, veal chops and rack of lamb. Rich, mouth-watering desserts and an excellent selection of wines will complement your dining experience. For those of you who want to enjoy great Mediterranean food at home or at work, catering is available for almost any occasion. The restaurant is open for lunch Monday though Friday and for dinner Monday though Saturday and a friendly crew is always there to welcome you and turn your visit into unforgettable dining experience!
